hi people.

i've not updated for months, and yea, now i'm updating.

well, we've went to the zoo before the end of years started, it was fun, isn't it?

and also, a week after the trip to zoo, the canon photographers, russell and jino, came to our school for the canon workshop, which is to teach us more about photography.

we also went for the photo marathon on 21 Oct, after the EOYs. kevin, bryan, amanda, suhui, mr chia, mr goh from plmgs and the girls of plmgs, together with me, we participated. one of the plmgs girls won 2nd for the theme passion. cool yea?

when the holiday just started, we went to the zoo camp with Hope1-2 and Joy1-1, also during the camp, we were with the g.b. girls of fairfield methodist sec.

meanwhile, we did some shifting of photographs from the general office to our so-called photography room. it's only so called because a teacher took it back. not-to-be-revealed.

well, we are lack of manpower now. there would be a crisis that no sec 1 photographer of this year would be chosen to be chairman since there are only 2 of them.

please try to invite as many friends as possible to the club yea?

zoo camp on first week of holiday. if interested, do the same, submit your particulars to chia asap. if you are a singaporean, payment is by edusave.

your chairlady, who is ME (if you still do not know who i am, forget about it), went to marina bay with mr chia, miss lim (our VP), mr ong (plmgs' teacher), sarah and bryan to take pictures of the fireworks.

ok, ignore the last second post i posted. some solutions are not right.

anyway, new DSLR! if you don't understand what is DSLR, forget about it then. it comes along with a $1000+ telephoto lens and a $1000+ widescope lens.

and, there are lots of photo competitions!

1) income tax competition- www.iras.org.sg/pictures (if i'm not wrong.)
2) life is science competition.
3) Photo of the Week competition.

Please try to take part in all competitons ya? and check the notice board! most notices are small and need more attention.

some common problems in photos.

problem: over-exposed.
Solution: use photoshop to edit or try the aperture before taking other pictures.

problem: blur
solution: push ISO up or use flash/reflector

problem: blur because it's too dark. under-exposed.
solution: push up ISO

(sorry, didn't edit.)

problem: blur, focus is at the back, wrong spacing.
solution: push up ISO, know where i am focusing, don't laugh while taking the picture. XD

some little parts of it. erm, yea, to allow you guys to learn lah.

hello. fooxin here.

as we moved back to the so-called "new" school, we doesn't have any room temporarily but Mr Chia is trying to get for us a computer lab with BRAND new computers. woosh.

Canon have asked us if we wanna join their academy, and by that, we are able to learn new skills. they are also lending us their Canon cameras when there are field trip for the club and they wants to print EOS t-shirt with our school logo on it for our club! cool isn't it?

duty roster is out. i've only included sec twos, since there ain't any sec one, three, and four in our club.

new competition and a coming field trip. check the board daily for new info.

this is the so-called "new" club t-shirt which is like going one year. sarah and yolanda as models. ha!

there's also a brooch for the club, photos coming in later.

yep, continue to take GOOD pictures!

woohoo~ this week photography got our own club shirt!!! It's white (mr chia said that he chose white because it represent purity) and a photography logo printed on the back. (Hannah and I couldn't wait to wear it!) Mr chia printed us another set of notes for the function of camera, it's very useful and i'm gonna take good care of it.

Another Meeting

This week's meeting,Mr Chia introuduced us to photography properly.He gave us these set of notes which was totally useful and went through 8 different types of cameras.I never knew there were that many.Not forgetting the structure of a camera and more yadidada stuff.To conclude,this was the most meaningful meeting I ever had.Weeee~

For this week's Photography Club meeting, we had some announcements and ice-breaker games. Why we had ice-breaker games before the Sec Ones came in is beyond my comprehension but yes, we did have our ice-breaker games.

Games like Dog & Bone, Fire, water, EARTHQUAKE and some scanning for words game ( I was in the toilet so I didn't catch the name) were played during this period. Photographers in our club are seriously competitive. I was the leader of a team while Sarah, our former chairlady and vice-chairlady (in separate years) was head of the other. Our team-mates, Sarah and I were all very unwilling to end the game as both teams wanted to win. The games came to an unexpected end when Elliot, one of the bloggers on this site, got injured. The second and ending round of Dog & Bone was so heated that a member of the opposing team chased him all the way past the line. As the floor was slippery, Elliot couldn't stop (like me on ice skates) and slammed into the glass of the notice-board, shattering it into a million fragments. A stunned silence ensued as his friends approached him. His shirt was sliced cleanly at one point with glass embedded on his arm. Blood was dripping down slowly. Teachers rushed to his aid. The sound of the glass shattering was so loud that even the people in the library heard. Thank goodness he was not seriously hurt. (Elliot: OWWW!!! IT STINGS!!! Poor me...)

All in all, it was an eventful day for the Photography Club.

today we had photography club and we look at some of the photo mr chia brought... most of the photos are very beautiful and my favourite one was the sunset taken at cambodia, in the background was the sea and there is also a flag stanging there and behind it was the sunset, it was extremely beautiful.. what would it be like if i'm in the picture experiencing the sunset?? i'm sure it would be the most wonderful thing ever..
